About this training
Using WordPress and developing for WordPress are two very different skills — and the second one pays far more. When you can write custom plugins and themes, you're no longer limited by what's available: you build exactly what a client needs. In this training you'll learn to develop for WordPress the professional way, and build your own theme and plugin from scratch. This practical WordPress development training in Tétouan is fully hands-on, taught in a small group of 16 students maximum.
This is 100% hands-on. You write real WordPress code. Whether you take the Accelerated weekend sprint (14 hours) or the Continued 3-month program (~48 hours), you finish able to build custom WordPress functionality.

Both formats are 100% hands-on — the difference is depth and practice time:
- Accelerated (weekend sprint, 14 hours): the developer foundations — how WordPress works under the hood, hooks, and your first template customizations.
- Continued (3 months, ~48 hours): the full developer path — custom post types, a plugin from scratch, WP_Query, security, and the REST API across real builds.
What you'll learn
- How WordPress really works under the hood: the request lifecycle and the loop
- The core developer tools: hooks (actions and filters)
- Theme development: the template hierarchy,
functions.php, and template tags - Enqueuing styles and scripts the correct way
- Custom post types, custom fields, and taxonomies
- Building a custom plugin from scratch with clean, safe code
- The WordPress database and querying with
WP_Query - Security essentials: sanitizing, escaping, and nonces
- Working with the REST API and modern WordPress development
Build and debug faster with AI
You'll use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude as a coding assistant — to write hooks, scaffold plugin boilerplate, explain unfamiliar core functions, and debug faster. You'll learn to prompt precisely and review the output against WordPress best practices, so AI accelerates your skills instead of replacing them.

Prerequisites
You should be comfortable with PHP basics and know your way around WordPress as a user. If you need the PHP foundation, take our PHP & MySQL training first; if you're new to WordPress itself, start with our WordPress training. Basic HTML & CSS is assumed. You only need a laptop.
